Hallow’s End 2026: Neighborhood Candy, Exchanges, and the Candy Crawl

Plan the Retail neighborhood candy loop during Hallow's End, October 19 through November 2, 2026. Separate Neighborhood Candy from Tricky Treats, inspect daily exchange offers, and fit the Community Candy Crawl around contributions and vendor goals.

Hallow’s End runs October 19–November 2, 2026, and this guide concerns the Retail neighborhood activities available during that window. As of October 26, the practical goal is to connect the neighborhood introduction, daily exchange offer, contributions, and Community Candy Crawl without treating them as a guaranteed candy-per-hour farm.

Neighborhood Candy and Tricky Treats are different currencies. Their exchange varies by neighborhood and refreshes daily, so inspect the offer before spending. A route that ignores today’s rate or your intended vendor purchase can be busy without moving you toward the reward you actually want.

Start with the neighborhood introduction

Blizzard’s 2026 Hallow’s End event guide directs players to accept A Haunted Home from a Holiday Enthusiast, then visit Yin in their neighborhood. Neighborhoods receive randomized seasonal themes, and Nomi supplies daily quests.

Do the introduction before trying to reconstruct the event from scattered candy buckets. It gives the activities a common starting point and makes it easier to recognize the hub, current daily tasks, and relevant exchange. If you cannot follow the breadcrumb, use the quest-objective troubleshooting guide rather than assuming the holiday has ended.

The date matters: this is a seasonal 2026 route, not an evergreen promise that neighborhood candy activities remain available all year. Blizzard’s October 23 weekly roundup also states the October 19–November 2 window. Its other game-version announcements are not rules for this Retail loop.

Read the exchange before choosing an activity

Neighborhood Candy can be exchanged for Tricky Treats, but there is no single permanent ratio to memorize from this guide. Offers differ between neighborhoods and refresh daily. Read the current vendor offer, then decide whether conversion supports a named purchase better than retaining candy for an event contribution.

Resource or opportunity Documented use Planning caution
Neighborhood Candy Exchange or activity contribution Inspect today’s offer
Tricky Treats Selected holiday vendor purchases Not identical to Neighborhood Candy
Gold Decor and other listed wares Not every purchase consumes candy
Contribution activity Neighborhood progression Do not assume a fixed personal return

Choose a reward first when possible. That converts a vague plan to collect everything into a concrete question about currency and availability. It also prevents accidental assumptions that every vendor accepts the currency currently filling your bags.

Join the Community Candy Crawl when active

The Community Candy Crawl runs for 15 minutes every hour in Founder’s Point and Razorwind Shores. Buckets appear outside occupied plots. The published objective is collecting 10 Neighborhood Candy; its stated rewards are XP, 2 Tricky Treats, and 3 Neighborhood Candy.

Those are objective and reward figures, not a measured hourly yield. They do not establish the exact minute when the event starts in your region or how many complete reward cycles your session will contain. Use the visible event state rather than an invented regional clock schedule.

When the Crawl is inactive, do another useful neighborhood task instead of treating idle waiting as part of a verified optimal route. When it becomes active, switch attention to the occupied plots and objective. Keep your own progress distinct from a neighborhood-wide contribution display.

Fill downtime with wrappers, ghosts, and webs

Neighborhood activities fill a visible Contribution bar. Increased contribution adds decorations and more lootable candy around the Holiday Hub bucket. Discarded Wrappers can be cleaned up near buckets, including while helping other neighborhoods, making them a straightforward task to consider between scheduled activity windows.

Ghost Busting uses Ghost Gear earned through the quest or found nearby. Deposit captured ghosts into a Ghost Tank. Filling the tank summons a Shade of Seabreaker Skoloth; players pull it into a magic portal to reveal a candy and reward chest. Follow the encounter’s actual state rather than assuming the ghost equipment alone completes the whole loop.

Webspinner Egg Sacs provide a three-minute spider transformation that can place up to ten webs. Ending the transformation incurs a fifteen-minute cooldown. These constraints matter to a short visit: plan another task afterward rather than expecting to repeat the same transformation continuously.

The October 23 hotfix entry says players can now exit combat with the Shade. That documents a specific fix, not a guarantee that every possible event issue has disappeared.

Decide between the piñata and a purchase

The piñata loop uses a portal near Yin and the Wickerman. The published daily contribution is ten candies, and choosing Start Whacking produces a one-minute countdown. Check the available interaction and your spending goal before contributing; the route does not establish a universal best use of every candy.

For decor, Jolli Maxiboom in Razorwind Shores and Holly Twinklebright in Founder’s Point sell holiday wares for gold. Echo in Undercity and Jack in Stormwind offer additional themed wares for Tricky Treats or gold. Read the named item’s currency rather than assuming a direct Neighborhood Candy purchase.

An illustrative short-session route is introduction, exchange inspection, wrappers or ghosts while waiting, Crawl when active, then a piñata-or-vendor decision. It is not a timed benchmark. If you add dungeon activities, use the dungeon-difficulty guide for context, and do not confuse a chance at a holiday mount with a guaranteed reward.

FAQ

Is the candy exchange rate fixed?

No. The event documentation says rates vary by neighborhood and refresh daily. Check the current offer before converting.

Can I use this route after November 2?

Do not assume so. It is written for the October 19–November 2, 2026 event window, not permanent availability.

Does the Crawl guarantee an hourly farming total?

No. Its published objective rewards describe completion, not a tested hourly yield or a maximum farming rate for your character.
